Portfolio / Go Compare
The price comparison site Go Compare wanted to improve its internal meetings. After a visit from consultants, the firm came up with 10 bullet points to make meetings more effective.

We were asked to rewrite the bullet points to make them more light-hearted. We suggested we add the cartoons...

10) They’re called ‘action’ points for a reason.
If we’ve been given an action point in a meeting, we’re going to make sure we do it. It’s the responsible thing to do, and, honestly, it’s harder to come up with a good excuse for why we haven’t done a job than it is to do the job in the first place. Unless you’re negotiating Brexit.

5) We’re there to contribute. Please give generously...
If we’ve done the reading and we’ve been invited to the meeting, we have to have something to say. Otherwise, we’ve probably misread the email and we’re in the wrong meeting. It does happen. That’s how mint chocolate-flavour Pringles came about.
2) Always be prepared. Like a Scout or Guide doing their Meetings badge.
We make sure we’ve read the previous minutes and the agenda before the meeting and not during it. We can’t just busk it, you know? This isn’t an English Literature seminar.
